About

Lim Chule

Photographer Lim Chule.

Born in Busan and raised in Seoul, he graduated from Seoul Institute of the Arts with a degree in photography. Over the years, he has worked extensively in the fields of fashion and advertising photography, contributing to leading magazines such as ELLE, BAZAAR, and MARIE CLAIRE, and shooting campaigns for global brands including CHANEL, HERA, and LANEIGE.
Drawing on his refined aesthetic and technical expertise from years in commercial photography, He now serves as Vice Director of the Seoul Institute of Photography, where he mentors the next generation of photographers.
Guided by his mentors’ teaching to “capture what is truly valuable,” He reinterprets Korea’s vanishing heritage with a modern sensibility, exploring new horizons in visual art.
As a heritage photographer, he is dedicated to documenting Korea’s traditional culture and heritage through a contemporary artistic lens.
